Here at the Zilles home we had placed bets with each other as to where Elder Zilles would be sent when he arrived in the field. We all 3 guessed Northern Maine...we were wrong:)He is in Lyndonville, Vermont. A little "village" of 1200 people- however it is very close to the town of Lyndon which is about 6000 , so the size of Preston about. He is close to the Canadian border but not right on it. When you look at the map it looks about as far away from us as you can get and still be in the states!
His comp is Elder Chen ( with an American name of Mark so we are thinking he is of Chinese ancestry but raised here in the states...we shall find out soon)
We received an email from President Wilkey this afternoon telling us his area and his companion and that he is safe and well. I can hardly wait until Monday to hear from Elder Q himself telling us about it! I was too anxious to not do a little research on my own so here are some way neat pictures and a few cool facts about this beautiful little town that is, for the time being, home to my son:)
I am sure Grandpa Don is hoping he will buy stock in the Bag Balm company:) When I was growing up that was the cure all to everything! Remember that Con and Aim?
And Josie and the boys will want to check out the ski resort that looks like it is in the back yard. Isn't Technology awesome- look all this stuff up in just a few minutes:)!
Hope you enjoy!

PS Our phone call from the airport was wonderful yesterday (1/7/13) - 5:40 am:)! We talked for 45 minutes and then he had to get off to go to the bathroom:)!
